Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C+
ValueB NeedB TradesD FutureC+
A weekend that raised as many questions as it answered. The Bills get a C+.

The tape said wait; the Bills did not. Miles Frazier went at slot 208, a good 32 picks before the board was ready. For now it grades a C+, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

If Nick Emmanwori and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Nick Emmanwori
A tidy bit of business in No. 30, where Nick Emmanwori graded well above the range. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick33 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
Nice patience on Kenneth Grant, who had no business lasting to pick 33. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick62 Rnd2 Maxwell Hairston
Maxwell Hairston at the 62nd overall pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick90 Rnd3 Isaiah Bond
The board had Isaiah Bond higher than slot 90, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick131 Rnd4 Malachi Moore
A safety of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick171 Rnd5 Dorian Strong
They read the board right and Dorian Strong was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 32. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick179 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II in pick 179 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick181 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They did well to land Dont'e Thornton Jr. in No. 181, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser slid further than he should have, and the Round 6 slot is lovely value for the linebacker. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick208 Rnd6 Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier in Round 6, Pick 30 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
