The war room fell hard for Jaylon Carlies, and it showed at Round 7, Pick 29: 35 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

The Rosengarten value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
