FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bills a B. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bills did exactly that with Jalyx Hunt in the 93rd overall pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took King. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Graham Barton
In pick No. 30 they get a plug-and-play piece up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick60
Rnd2
Kiran Amegadjie
Kiran Amegadjie at the 60th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick93
Rnd3
Jalyx Hunt
Jalyx Hunt at slot 93 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick128
Rnd4
Beau Brade
By-the-book stuff, Beau Brade at the Round 4 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick134
Rnd4
Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey in Round 4, Pick 34 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick143
Rnd5
Isaac Guerendo
Isaac Guerendo at pick 143 is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick144
Rnd5
Tommy Eichenberg
Tommy Eichenberg at the 144th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick160
Rnd5
Jordan Jefferson
They reached into another round for Jordan Jefferson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick163
Rnd5
Kalen King
Kalen King in No. 163 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
