Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureB-
The phones sank the Bills this weekend: D-. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Trevin Wallace, 38 picks early at pick 198. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
However the rest shakes out, Rosengarten at that price is a win they earned.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Troy Franklin
In pick 28 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick44
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
By-the-book stuff, T'Vondre Sweat at the 44th pick squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick60
Rnd2
Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice at the Round 2 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick99
Rnd3
Malik Washington
Malik Washington at pick No. 99 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick113
Rnd4
McKinnley Jackson
They jumped the gun on McKinnley Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick129
Rnd4
Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith at the 129th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The roster fit checks out.
Pick143
Rnd5
Jarrian Jones
Jarrian Jones in pick 143 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick159
Rnd5
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten slipping to the 159th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick162
Rnd5
Khristian Boyd
They paid a round early for Khristian Boyd in pick No. 162, more than the board wanted. It fills a real need, too.
Pick198
Rnd6
Trevin Wallace
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Trevin Wallace. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick206
Rnd6
Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal in Round 6, Pick 31 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A need, and now a little less of one.
