Nobody else had Frank Gore Jr. anywhere near No. 172. The Bills did, by 55 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A F, plain and simple.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The Tampa pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with linebacker, quarterback and other spots still on the board. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with linebacker still staring back at them.
