Rosemy-Jacksaint should have been long gone. The Bills pounced, and earned a B-.

The Bills spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, the No. 143 name on the board, in the Round 5 slot. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Every board in the league had Ugwoegbu lower, and that gap is the story. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick29 Rnd1 Adonai Mitchell
In Round 1, Pick 29 they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61 Rnd2 Johnny Wilson
They went early on Johnny Wilson in the 61st pick, and the value did not follow. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
No edge and no loss on Khyree Jackson in the Round 3 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick129 Rnd4 Sataoa Laumea
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Sataoa Laumea at slot 129. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick162 Rnd5 Kitan Oladapo
Kitan Oladapo at No. 162 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick166 Rnd5 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
Circle this one: Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick 166 is a fall that decides a draft. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick198 Rnd6 Jaylen Harrell
Jaylen Harrell in pick No. 198 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick202 Rnd6 JD Bertrand
Nice patience on JD Bertrand, who had no business lasting to the 202nd overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick207 Rnd6 David Ugwoegbu
They paid a round early for David Ugwoegbu in pick No. 207, more than the board wanted. A pick in search of a role on this roster.
Pick250 Rnd7 Donell Harris Jr.
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Donell Harris Jr.. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
