The Bills cashed the board's mistake on Hudson: D+. When the story of this class is written, it opens with Ethan Downs at Round 7, Pick 38, a reach of 31 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Getting Hudson where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
