The Bills left with their quarterback, and a D- to match.

Somebody took the Bills to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

Whatever J.J. McCarthy becomes, the front office has tied its fortunes to the answer. The Jones pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with linebacker still on the board.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. The Hartman reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

That is a running back worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
