There is real value in patience, and the Bills banked it when Max Melton slid to No. 128.

They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
