A respectable, level-headed haul for the Bills: B-. Nobody had Erick All this high, and it is not close. The Bills reached 39 spots to get him at the 163rd overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 28 they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick60
Rnd2
Ricky Pearsall
By-the-book stuff, Ricky Pearsall at the Round 2 slot squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick130
Rnd4
Jalyx Hunt
Jalyx Hunt at the 130th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick134
Rnd4
Roger Rosengarten
Roger Rosengarten in slot 134 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick144
Rnd5
Kitan Oladapo
A conviction pick on Kitan Oladapo at pick 144 that the board grades a round light. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick160
Rnd5
Brandon Coleman
Brandon Coleman at No. 160 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick163
Rnd5
Erick All
They reached a country mile for Erick All at the 163rd pick, and the board is aghast. The roster fit checks out.
Pick189
Rnd6
M.J. Devonshire
A market-rate cornerback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on M.J. Devonshire. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick200
Rnd6
Gabe Hall
Gabe Hall in No. 200 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick204
Rnd6
Trevin Wallace
A real head-scratcher, Trevin Wallace in the 204th overall pick is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick218
Rnd6
Eric Watts
Eric Watts at pick No. 218 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick248
Rnd7
Bub Means
Bub Means at pick 248 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick250
Rnd7
Kimani Vidal
Kimani Vidal in slot 250 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
