Draft Grade — Bills
Overall C-
ValueB NeedB+ TradesF FutureB-
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bills to a C-.

The Bills treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick 257 on Jordan Hall a full 56 spots early. It nets out a thoroughly average C-.

The Robertson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

So much rides on Chris Brazzell II that the real verdict is a season or two away.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
In the 21st overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick55 Rnd2 CJ Allen
CJ Allen slipping to No. 55 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick60 Rnd2 Nyck Harbor
A clean, defensible pick in Round 2, Pick 28 with a little surplus value in Nyck Harbor. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick86 Rnd3 Eli Stowers
They let Eli Stowers come to them and pounced at pick 86. It fills a real need, too.
Pick121 Rnd4 Earl Little Jr.
They read the board right and Earl Little Jr. was the payoff at slot 121. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick128 Rnd4 DJ McKinney
DJ McKinney in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick163 Rnd5 Davison Igbinosun
They jumped the gun on Davison Igbinosun, taking him earlier than his grade liked. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick167 Rnd5 Max Iheanachor
Max Iheanachor at pick 167 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick168 Rnd5 Aaron Graves
A straight-up fair deal on Aaron Graves at pick No. 168, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick219 Rnd7 Sawyer Robertson
They will replay Sawyer Robertson at the 219th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick228 Rnd7 Barion Brown
Barion Brown at the Round 7 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick250 Rnd7 Pat Coogan
No edge and no loss on Pat Coogan in No. 250; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick257 Rnd7 Jordan Hall
They left a pile of value on the table to take Jordan Hall this early at slot 257. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
