A sensible, unshowy class lands the Commanders a B-.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Commanders spent Round 7, Pick 20 on J.J. Weaver, a name most had 135 spots down the list.

If one pick saves this weekend, it is Tuten. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
