The Browns drew a line under the quarterback search with Milroe: B. The war room fell hard for Jalen Milroe, and it showed at pick No. 28: 66 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
So much rides on Jalen Milroe that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. Adding Aidan Hutchinson by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick2
Rnd1
Travis Hunter
By-the-book stuff, Travis Hunter at pick No. 2 squarely in line with his ranking. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick28
Rnd1
Jalen Milroe
In No. 28 they get a franchise quarterback, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
