Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB+ TradesA+ FutureD+
The Bills won the weekend at the trade table. Grade: B.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bills came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The Eboigbe pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick14 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
Nothing to complain about; Rome Odunze went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick91 Rnd3 Khyree Jackson
They paid sticker price for Khyree Jackson in No. 91, and that is fine. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick112 Rnd4 Leonard Taylor III
They left a pile of value on the table to take Leonard Taylor III this early at the 112th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126 Rnd4 Christian Jones
Christian Jones at the Round 4 slot is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick128 Rnd4 Jacob Cowing
Jacob Cowing at slot 128 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick160 Rnd5 James Williams
They liked James Williams enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 160. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick163 Rnd5 Justin Eboigbe
Justin Eboigbe in pick No. 163 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick200 Rnd6 Kimani Vidal
They paid a round early for Kimani Vidal in Round 6, Pick 25, more than the board wanted. The roster fit checks out.
Pick204 Rnd6 Trey Taylor
Value said wait; Trey Taylor in the Round 6 slot says they were not listening. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
