Draft Grade — Bills
Overall
D-
ValueB-
NeedB

FutureC
The Bills bled value on every deal, hence the D-. You can hear the double-takes from here. The Bills took Kimani Vidal at the 204th overall pick, roughly 49 spots before his name belonged. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Getting Pritchett where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
A whole weekend of picks and linebacker is somehow still a want.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In pick 28 they get a go-to option on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick44
Rnd2
T'Vondre Sweat
T'Vondre Sweat at slot 44 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick60
Rnd2
Bralen Trice
Bralen Trice at the 60th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick83
Rnd3
Mike Sainristil
They let Mike Sainristil come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 19. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick99
Rnd3
Brenden Rice
A reasonable price with a little left over, Brenden Rice in the Round 3 slot. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick112
Rnd4
Leonard Taylor III
Leonard Taylor III in the 112th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick122
Rnd4
Christian Jones
Christian Jones at the Round 4 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick155
Rnd5
Jacob Cowing
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jacob Cowing at pick No. 155. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick163
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
Tykee Smith in slot 163 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick189
Rnd6
Nehemiah Pritchett
Circle this one: Nehemiah Pritchett at the 189th pick is a fall that decides a draft. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick204
Rnd6
Kimani Vidal
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Kimani Vidal well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
