Draft Grade — Bills
Overall

FutureC
The Bills got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D-. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Bills started one anyway for Michael Barrett, 35 picks ahead of schedule. Put together, it is a D-.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
That Fisher pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Adonai Mitchell
In No. 28 they get a home-run threat at receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick44
Rnd2
Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske at pick No. 44 is a conviction pick that outran the value. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick60
Rnd2
Roman Wilson
Roman Wilson slipping to the 60th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick77
Rnd3
Marshawn Kneeland
Marshawn Kneeland at the 77th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick83
Rnd3
Mike Sainristil
A slide stopped in Round 3, Pick 19, with Mike Sainristil worth more than the price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick99
Rnd3
Leonard Taylor III
Leonard Taylor III in slot 99 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick128
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
No drama and no debate, Isaac Guerendo went about where he belonged in No. 128. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick144
Rnd5
Blake Fisher
The board fumbled Blake Fisher all the way to the Round 5 slot, and they scooped it up. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick155
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
A straight-up fair deal on Tykee Smith at pick 155, value and slot in agreement. It fills a real need, too.
Pick163
Rnd5
Jarrian Jones
Somehow Jarrian Jones was still sitting there in the 163rd overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick200
Rnd6
Michael Barrett
Michael Barrett at pick No. 200 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
