The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Williams: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Antonio Williams tumbling to the Bears in pick No. 129 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

O'Neill has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, linebacker went untouched, which is hard to explain. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick25 Rnd1 Caleb Downs
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a ballhawk on the back end at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
Pick57 Rnd2 Christen Miller
Christen Miller at No. 57 is money in the bank, a interior defensive lineman taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick89 Rnd3 Colton Hood
Colton Hood at the 89th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick129 Rnd4 Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams in slot 129 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick163 Rnd5 Eric O'Neill
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Eric O'Neill. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick239 Rnd7 Will Kacmarek
They took Will Kacmarek at par in the 239th overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick241 Rnd7 Roydell Williams
Roydell Williams at pick 241 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
