The Giants drew a line under the quarterback search with Maye: D-. Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Erick All at No. 95 is 34 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.
Newton at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
