Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB

Good, not great, for the Cardinals: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
They will need Cooper to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In No. 4 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick27
Rnd1
Amarius Mims
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a building block for the line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
They jumped the gun on Edgerrin Cooper, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
