The Steelers kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

The curious call sets the tone. With quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots still glaring, the Steelers used the Round 3 slot on Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE they were not exactly short of. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The Rivers pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
