The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Jets spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

If Hemby pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They banked enough surplus on Stewart to cover a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
