The Texans cashed the board's mistake on Magee: D.

The Texans lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A D that will need time and luck to look better.

The Texans indulged a want in Stover while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

Every board in the league had Taylor III lower, and that gap is the story. However the rest shakes out, Magee at that price is a win they earned.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
