A costly weekend of dealing drags the 49ers to a D-.

Somebody took the 49ers to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

The Robinson reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. It is not that Solomon is a bad player; it is that the 49ers had louder needs to answer first. The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, tight end very much included.
