The 49ers lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

The 49ers looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took DeMonte Capehart at the Round 6 slot regardless, 62 picks early. The process wobbled, and the D- is where it lands.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up.

In short, the board sent warnings, and they will be hoping it was wrong.
