Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesA- FutureB-
The Seahawks cashed the board's mistake on Schwesinger: B.

Call it larceny. Carson Schwesinger sat on the board until pick 92, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They are betting Hawes proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In No. 30 they get a seam-stretching tight end, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick50 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
A straight-up fair deal on Marcus Mbow at the 50th pick, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick52 Rnd2 Josaiah Stewart
Josaiah Stewart in slot 52 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick59 Rnd2 Donovan Jackson
By-the-book stuff, Donovan Jackson at pick 59 squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick82 Rnd3 Jack Bech
Jack Bech at Round 3, Pick 18 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick92 Rnd3 Carson Schwesinger
Carson Schwesinger in the 92nd overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick129 Rnd4 Riley Leonard
They took Riley Leonard at par in pick No. 129, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick139 Rnd5 Logan Brown
Logan Brown in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick172 Rnd5 Kyle Williams
They paid sticker price for Kyle Williams in the 172nd pick, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jaylen Reed
They went early on Jaylen Reed in the Round 5 slot, and the value did not follow. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick223 Rnd7 Cam Horsley
They paid a round early for Cam Horsley in slot 223, more than the board wanted. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick234 Rnd7 Jackson Hawes
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jackson Hawes. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
