Williams is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a D.

The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Kinchens falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
