The Steelers checked most of the boxes and earned a B-.

The curious call sets the tone. With quarterback, edge rusher and other spots still glaring, the Steelers used No. 51 on Zach Frazier, an offensive lineman they were not exactly short of. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. The cost of the Watson reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
