You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Buccaneers did exactly that with Isaac Guerendo in the 204th overall pick.

The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. It is not that Hunt is a bad player; it is that the Buccaneers had louder needs to answer first.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. The Cowing pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.

There is no soft landing here: they fought the board and left tight end open, and the grade is the bill.
