Conviction outran the board for the Buccaneers, and it cost them: F. The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Buccaneers reached some 42 spots for Taulia Tagovailoa, and value like that does not grow back. Little went right, and the F does not pretend otherwise.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. That Jennings pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
