The Broncos let Jacobs fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Broncos came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

Getting Jacobs where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Every board in the league had Limmer lower, and that gap is the story.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

J.J. McCarthy slid further than he should have, and slot 37 is lovely value for the quarterback. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
