FOXY KNOXY DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueB+
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Seahawks let Thompson fall and pounced. Final grade: B. Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Brenen Thompson got past him. The Seahawks do not have to explain a thing at Round 6, Pick 32. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
Pick Analysis
Pick32
Rnd1
Olaivavega Ioane
In pick 32 they get protection for the quarterback, and a steal at that. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick64
Rnd2
Jadarian Price
Jadarian Price at the Round 2 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Pick96
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
Taking Keionte Scott in slot 96 is close to grand larceny; a cornerback that good had no business lasting this long. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick211
Rnd6
Brenen Thompson
They barely believed it either: Brenen Thompson still on the board at the 211th pick. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
