The board owed the Eagles one, and it paid up: Nick Emmanwori, the No. 20 name on the board, sitting there at the 64th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.

Higgins has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
