They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Shedeur Sanders is the Panthers' quarterback, full stop.

The Nussmeier pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Panthers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
