The Titans cashed the board's mistake on Wilson: A. The Titans ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.
The Wilson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Titans clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.
They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
Pick Analysis
Pick20
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
Olumuyiwa Fashanu is a better player than pick 20 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick25
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In slot 25 they get a No. 1 receiver at a price that makes it sweeter.
Pick41
Rnd2
Kamari Lassiter
Kamari Lassiter at the Round 2 slot is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Junior Colson
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Junior Colson at pick No. 88 is the proof. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick107
Rnd4
Roman Wilson
They barely believed it either: Roman Wilson still on the board at Round 4, Pick 7. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick144
Rnd5
Beaux Limmer
Beaux Limmer at the 144th pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick158
Rnd5
Kamal Hadden
Kamal Hadden in pick No. 158 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick203
Rnd6
Miyan Williams
They did well to land Miyan Williams in pick 203, just ahead of his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick217
Rnd6
Omar Speights
A tidy bit of business in slot 217, where Omar Speights graded well above the range. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick228
Rnd7
Taulia Tagovailoa
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Taulia Tagovailoa at No. 228. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
