Somebody in pick 233 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while T.J. Sanders, the No. 24 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
