Nobody else had Jalen Travis anywhere near pick No. 220. The Patriots did, by 43 spots, and that gap is the whole story. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. Starks at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The veteran additions, Micah Parsons chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
