The Titans let Slaughter fall into their laps, and walked away with a B+.

Whoever sat across the table from the Titans should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

On value alone, Slaughter makes the weekend a net positive. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Adding Pat Surtain II by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
