The move everyone will second-guess came early. The 49ers reached some 74 spots for CJ West, and value like that does not grow back.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Tuten. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
