Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
D-
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesF
FutureC+
The Seahawks answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: D-. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Brevyn Spann-Ford, 70 picks early at pick 179. Put together, it is a D-.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The whole projection now runs through Jayden Daniels; hit there and everything else looks smarter.
However the rest shakes out, McCaffrey at that price is a win they earned. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick7
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In pick 7 they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
Pick38
Rnd2
Amarius Mims
Amarius Mims in pick No. 38 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick54
Rnd2
Bralen Trice
A conviction pick on Bralen Trice at slot 54 that the board grades a round light. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick81
Rnd3
Cedric Gray
A wild overpay on Cedric Gray in the Round 3 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick118
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
Steal is underselling it; Khyree Jackson at No. 118 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick179
Rnd6
Brevyn Spann-Ford
This one needs a full-page explanation: Brevyn Spann-Ford in the 179th overall pick, miles early. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick192
Rnd6
Luke McCaffrey
They barely believed it either: Luke McCaffrey still on the board at the 192nd pick. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick235
Rnd7
Trente Jones
They will replay Trente Jones at slot 235 for years; that is how good the value is. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
