Somebody in the 151st overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cowboys sat still while Jalen Royals, the No. 71 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Every board in the league had Wilson lower, and that gap is the story. The trade table is where this weekend went wrong.

Everything downstream of Cam Ward depends on Cam Ward, and the building knows it. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
