The Ravens let Lane fall into their laps, and walked away with a A.

The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Ravens watched Ja'Kobi Lane slide 192 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The veteran additions, Josh Downs chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Jeremiyah Love and all.
