The war room fell hard for Tim Smith, and it showed at Round 7, Pick 17: 92 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
