Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB- TradesA- FutureB+
No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Seahawks.

There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Seahawks never got to the one that mattered most.

Reaching for Williams left real value on the table behind him. Liufau falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Adding Cade Otton by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Cooper DeJean
In the 26th pick they get a ballhawk on the outside. More want than need.
Pick81 Rnd3 Dominick Puni
Dominick Puni in slot 81 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick89 Rnd3 Zak Zinter
A reach on Zak Zinter in pick No. 89; the board had better options right there. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick102 Rnd4 Mekhi Wingo
They took Mekhi Wingo at par in the 102nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick118 Rnd4 Matt Goncalves
They did well to land Matt Goncalves in Round 4, Pick 18, just ahead of his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick125 Rnd4 Ben Sinnott
Ben Sinnott at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick179 Rnd6 Marist Liufau
A quiet steal in pick 179: Marist Liufau for less than the market said. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick192 Rnd6 Curtis Jacobs
By-the-book stuff, Curtis Jacobs at No. 192 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick235 Rnd7 Miyan Williams
A wild overpay on Miyan Williams in pick No. 235, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
