The board owed the Packers one, and it paid up: Barrett Carter, the No. 83 name on the board, sitting there at No. 160 like a gift left on the doorstep.

The Dolac reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
