The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Bears reached some 96 spots for Taylor Upshaw, and value like that does not grow back. The math is unkind, and the D- follows.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. However the rest shakes out, McGlothern at that price is a win they earned.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
