Draft Grade — Packers
Overall

FutureB-
The Packers let Washington fall and pounced. Final grade: B. Call it larceny. Tahj Washington sat on the board until slot 245, and the Packers did not need to be asked twice. Good, not great, and the B says as much.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Amarius Mims
In pick No. 26 they get a blindside protector. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick41
Rnd2
Darius Robinson
No edge and no loss on Darius Robinson in Round 2, Pick 9; it is a wash and a sensible one. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick58
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
Edgerrin Cooper is a better player than the 58th pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick88
Rnd3
Jaden Hicks
A tidy little value on Jaden Hicks in No. 88, a step better than break-even. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick91
Rnd3
Maason Smith
Maason Smith in pick 91 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick92
Rnd3
Braelon Allen
A conviction pick on Braelon Allen at slot 92 that the board grades a round light. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick126
Rnd4
Elijah Jones
Elijah Jones in the Round 4 slot is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick169
Rnd5
Brandon Coleman
They liked Brandon Coleman enough to skip the value, taking him in the 169th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick202
Rnd6
Cedric Johnson
They left a pile of value on the table to take Cedric Johnson this early at pick 202. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick219
Rnd6
Dominique Hampton
Dominique Hampton at slot 219 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick245
Rnd7
Tahj Washington
They barely believed it either: Tahj Washington still on the board at the 245th overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick255
Rnd7
Caedan Wallace
They will replay Caedan Wallace at pick No. 255 for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
