Draft Grade — Vikings

Grand theft in the 61st overall pick: the Vikings steal Loveland and grade out a B. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Vikings were there to profit. Colston Loveland, the No. 25 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 61. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Webb pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick29
Rnd1
Nick Emmanwori
In slot 29 they get a two-high chess piece, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick61
Rnd2
Colston Loveland
A top-tier tight end at a bargain, Colston Loveland in Round 2, Pick 29, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick97
Rnd3
Andrew Mukuba
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Andrew Mukuba at pick 97 is the proof. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick139
Rnd5
RJ Harvey
They did well to land RJ Harvey in the 139th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick187
Rnd6
Clay Webb
A reach for Clay Webb in No. 187; a little patience would have been rewarded. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
