FutureA+
The Jets fleeced the room on the phones and earned a A-. Whoever sat across the table from the Jets should ask for a receipt. They cleaned the room out, prying loose far more value than they gave up, and it was the quiet MVP of their weekend.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Reaching for West left real value on the table behind him.
On value alone, Winston Jr. makes the weekend a net positive.
Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
Pick Analysis
Pick24
Rnd1
Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get a red-zone target to build around, and a steal at that. More want than need.
Pick73
Rnd3
Cameron Williams
Cameron Williams in No. 73 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick97
Rnd3
Jalen Milroe
Jalen Milroe at slot 97 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick110
Rnd4
Kevin Winston Jr.
They let Kevin Winston Jr. come to them and pounced at the 110th pick. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick145
Rnd5
Pat Bryant
A straight-up fair deal on Pat Bryant at the Round 5 slot, value and slot in agreement. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick162
Rnd5
CJ West
A big swing on CJ West at the 162nd overall pick, well ahead of any board in the building. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick186
Rnd6
Jay Higgins
A conviction pick on Jay Higgins at pick 186 that the board grades a round light. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick207
Rnd6
Jason Marshall Jr.
Good price on Jason Marshall Jr. in pick No. 207, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
