The Bengals spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Kalel Mullings, the No. 48 name on the board, in No. 171.

They are betting Jones Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.

They will answer for taking safety early while quarterback went begging. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
