A sensible, unshowy class lands the Bengals a B-.

The war room fell hard for CJ West, and it showed at pick 166: 47 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They banked enough surplus on Mondon Jr. to cover a lot of smaller sins. The Ezeiruaku pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at tight end, wide receiver and other spots. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
